Celebrating 20 years of obscurity on the world wide web

It’s go time

Well, it’s 4 a.m. and time to hit the road. I’ve got a fully charged iPod, a full tank of gas, a cooler full of store-brand soda, a couple of sandwiches and 774 miles between me and a luxurious Motel 6 in Tallahassee.

It’s look many of my fellow Tweetup participants are getting underway today as well. Over the next 48 hours, we’ll be pouring into Florida, along with a lot of other folks. NASA has already warned us about the traffic on launch day. It should be fairly crowded. Glad I’ve got some front-row seats for the launch.

If you’re interested, you can follow my journey on Twitter. I’ll no doubt be tweeting throughout the day (although always responsibly with the car parked at a rest stop or some scary truck stop). You can also watch the tweets of all of us taking part in the tweetup:

Well, wish me luck. Plenty of I-10 in store for me today.
