Baltimore bound
The Wife and I are headed to Baltimore today (no, not the one in Vermont or Ohio) for the wedding of a good friend. I’m looking forward to chance to see him, meet his fiancĂ©e and reconnect with some old friends. And visiting Baltimore for the first time in 10+ years, not being at work for a while and taking a break from the kids will be nice too.
Unfortunately, we won’t really have much time to explore Baltimore itself. This is a pretty quick in-and-out kind of trip, but that’s okay. I’ve done Baltimore a couple of times and although it’s nice, I’m not terribly heartbroken about not having an extra day to hang out there. I’m sure we’ll back with the kids at some point and do the whole D.C.-Baltimore combo trip.
This weekend actually kicks off a week of matrimonial activities – not only is my friend getting married on Saturday, but my little brother is getting married a week from today as well. From what I understand, I have to be a little more involved with his wedding than the one this weekend. It’s most likely the only shot I’ll get at being a best man (unless one of you people need a warm body to stand next to your groom and think of me), so I suppose I should soak it all in. I still need to figure out what I’ll say at the reception. Maybe the best man at this first wedding will have something I can recycle for my toast. Maybe I can get him to write it down for me. Hmm….
Oh, who am I kidding? I know I’ll just end up making something up as I go during the reception and sound like a rambling idiot. I’m okay with that. To thine ownself be true.
So this upcoming week will be busy. I might blog, I might not. It just depends on what all is going on.
To all three of my regular readers: have a good Memorial Day weekend! As usual, nobody take our stuff while we’re gone.

wow, 2 weddings in a week? You are busy. please tell the happy Baltimore couple congrats!!! (congrats to your brother too, but I’ve never met him so that might be kind of strange to tell him congrats)
