When I worked at the credit union in Colorado, one of the county deputies that did security was from Texas also. And on March 2nd, he was very, very disappointed when he asked me what day it was and I was all, I HAVE NO IDEA.

Hey, one of the guys at work brought up Texas Independence day today and I was all "Oh yeah, totally, it's the 2nd!" And then he spun off into actual history like dates and when things happened and in what order and my eyes glazed over. But I figured if anyone said anything about it today it would be you!

At this point, I feel compelled to clarify that I am not one of those Texas secessionist nuts. Just a student of history.

Also, if you are a Texas secessionist, I meant "nut" in the most respectful and loving way possible. No need to rally the troops.
