Hunk of bread defeats mankind’s greatest scientific toy
After more than a year of delays, the beleaguered Large Hadron Collider was once again knocked out of commission after the failure of one of its powerful cooling units caused by an errant chunk of baguette. That’s right – baguette, as in a hunk of bread.
