The Boy’s birthday wishlist
The Boy’s birthday is just ten days away and we really have no idea what to get him this year. He doesn’t really need anything and he’s got enough toys, games, books and clothes to choke a horse.
So I asked him what he wanted. Not surprisingly, the list consisted entirely of Nintendo games.
We went to Best Buy and used my phone to take a picture of his favorites. It made all of the teenage salesfolk very nervous for some reason. Maybe they thought were casing the joint.
Anyhoo, here’s what he picked out:
He actually had two more picked out, but I already know that he’s getting those so I removed them from this list.
And for the record, as someone who has played many crappy product tie-in games (like this, this and of course this), that M&M Adventures game looks like a waste of money even as a bargain bin title. I tried to dissuade him from putting it on the list, but I think the chocolatey goodness of the actual candies was clouding his wee judgment.
Remains of the day
The Wife and The Girl have headed to her parents’ place for the weekend, leaving The Boy and me on our own without any real adult supervision. I had to stay in town because I’m going to a small reception thingee this afternoon, then The Boy and I will go to season opener for A&M against New Mexico. Let’s hope it goes better than last year’s first game.

- I guess these two statements aren’t necessarily contradictory, but they certainly don’t seem to jive with each other.

Hey that looks remarkably similar to my husband’s wish list…hmmm.
