The NCAA has long enforced strict rules barring its athletes from cashing in on their celebrity status at the same time that it earned millions of dollars through licensing deals, like those for jerseys and video games, that some say did just that. Now, the athletes are suing.

Texas “casino” boat has to be the worst-run business ever
That casino boat company in Freeport has officially shut down operations – even though they’ve never managed to actually get them started. After being seized by federal marshals, allowing their workers’ visas to expire and having their website suspended because they never bothered to pay the guy who made it, it’s no surprise that they’ve never been able to get a boat out into the water with paying customers on it.

Google announces plans for open source operating system
While they’re looking to finally get back on the ball with Windows 7, this is exactly the kind of news that Microsoft doesn’t need right now – Google launching a free OS alternative. On the other hand, the fact that Google is going down the open source route with this will preclude many businesses and agencies from switching over.
