My son really likes hummus
I’m not exactly sure how it got started, but we’ve begun buying hummus on a regular basis. Neither one of us ate it growing up, but we both enjoy it now (well, unless The Wife insists on buying one of the über-garlic kinds, which are always pretty gagtastic), as do the children.
The Boy really enjoys it. To a level which may not be normal. In fact, he managed to clear out the last tub we bought in just two sittings. He would have done it in just one, but I made him stop and eat something else.
He licks the wrapper when I open up a new tub. He licks the spoon after I use it to dish some out on a plate for him. I even got caught him eating it straight using his fingers when I was slow in getting him some crackers.
I guess there’s something in the chickpeas. He might need to go to hummus rehab.

I like hummus too, and I never ate it before being an adult. not plain hummus though – I need extra flavor.
