The Girl’s weekend in review
The Wife went to Houston this weekend to hang out with her sister, so I had the kids all to myself for a 24-hour period. Everything went pretty smoothly, but wow – I had forgotten how exhausting a toddler can be when you don’t have any backup.
The Boy was his normal self-sufficient self, spending large chunks of his time in his room, playing Nintendo and watching baseball with me on the couch. The Girl, however, was nuts as usual.
I don’t think I can adequately convey how active this child is, but I did manage to get some pictures cataloging just a small slice of her craziness.
Our weekend started with some serious thunderstorms, so The Girl set up camp in her brother’s room to watch the downpour with Mickey Mouse.- She cleaned up the dining room – using both old-fashioned and more modern methods.
- No matter what was up on the counter, she wanted it.
- She turned the tables on The Cat and hassled her for a change.
- On Saturday night, she helped me make dinner.
- She spent some quality time in the tub.
- Just in case I was confused, she spent a good half-hour identifying balls for me.
- She helped herself to some yogurt. Some of it even made it into her mouth.
- The Wife returned Sunday afternoon, but The Girl didn’t slow down. While I was cleaning out my car, she decided she needed to sit in the driver’s seat.
- She also explored the back seat area.
- And proved that you don’t actually have to be seated in the car to have some fun.
And then, The Wife and I caught our fearless little 15-month old doing this:
Oh my. She’s going to be a handful.
So exactly what kind of damage did The Wife do to the car that you needed to take out the seat and shop vac out the inside??!!!
Miss T is CRAZY!!
The climbing is hilarious…for me. Not so much for you.
Awesome. Love the climbing – mostly because it’s not happening to me.
Yes that child needs a gymnastics class stat. She is going to be an Olympic champion!!!
