Three conclusions

I came to three conclusions last night, none of which are related and none of which are particularly important. But I’ll go ahead and share them with you anyway.

In no particular order:

  1. The Wife won’t be leaving me to join a heavy metal band. After finally getting her hands on Guitar Hero: Metallica (borrowed it from one of her friends), The Wife didn’t do so well. She clunked out on several songs, even on the “Hey, you don’t need to press any buttons” beginner mode. I, on the other hand, made it through everything on the “Hey, you need to at least press three buttons” easy mode. Normally, pasting her in such a meaningless endeavour would be sweet enough by itself, but this is even better because she’s a big Metallica fan.
  2. I’m done with Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I like Jimmy Fallon, but his show just isn’t doing it for me. I gave him a month and now I’m going back to Craig Ferguson. Fallon’s stilted, half-nervous/half-indifferent style of delivery was hilarious for scripted pieces on Saturday Night Live, but it’s just downright awkward when he’s really trying to interview people. And yes, we get it – he’s very impressed by his band and thinks you should be too. It may take him a while to find his groove like Conan did, but I’m not going to stick around for it.
  3. You should never give your greyhound a leftover fish stick. Unless you enjoy extremely odoriferous canine emanations. If that’s the case, go right ahead.

FYI – “extremely odoriferous canine emanations” are also caused by hot dogs.

Two things: 1) I hate you; and 2) I told you not to give her that fish stick.

@Kristine: EOCEs seemed to be caused by everything our dog eats. Meat, vegetable, starch. Seriously, eating the goldfish crackers that The Girl drops on the floor gives her tummy troubles. She’s a delicate flower.

@The Wife: Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

I gave up on Jimmy Fallon, too. I just can’t appreciate the news when it is “slow jammed”. Craig Ferguson stole my heart a long time ago. My love for him knows no bounds.

Yeah Jimmy Fallon is so awkward it is hard to watch at times. And his skits are NOT. FUNNY.
