Twenty pounds of crazy

After a year, I’ve decided that my daughter is just flat-out nuts. She makes me very tired.

She’s nothing like The Boy, who has always been quiet and reserved. No, The Girl is loud and boisterous. She always has to be doing something – walking , climbing, throwing, or just screeching at the top of her lungs. Every morning she wakes up with a mischievous grin on her face, starts playing hard as we get ready for work, and doesn’t look back until she passes out later that night.

It’s her world. We’re all just here to make bottles and change diapers.

Fries at the bottom of the bag

  • On Saturday night, the Arizona Cardinals won a road playoff game against the Panthers in Charlotte, NC. Why then did their quarterback and head coach give their post-game interviews in front of a back drop prominently displaying the name of their home stadium?
  • I understand that the folks in Oklahoma are fairly new to professional basketball, but this lady obviously didn’t pay too much attention at the game she went to.
  • I was aware that the United States had mints in Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco and West Point, but I didn’t know that also used to operate mints in New Orleans, Charlotte, Carson City and Dahlonega, GA.
  • Congratulations to Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice on getting into the Baseball Hall of Fame. I’m glad that the debate surrounding Rice has finally come to end, but his election only underscores the problem in the voting system – why are candidates any more or less deserving over the course of 15 years of retirement? Also, what’s the hold up on putting some of these other guys in? Two vote totals in particular – Tim Raines with 122 votes and Dale Murphy at just 62 – are just flat-out inexcusable for a group of people who purport to have followed the game of baseball.
  • I wonder if their brand new design features proper spelling.

She is very cute and active! I love how she waves to the world with both hands…my sis-in-law is pregnant and she wants a boy, but I’m hoping for a niece :)

Thanks for the video! Nathan just LOVES to watch other babies. I think he was especially smitten with The Girl…I think I hear wedding bells!!!

It is called second child syndrome. My 2nd son has the same thing…. God gives you your first wonderful amazing child so you have a second… and then he gives you the real thing.

I second the last comment. My nephew is a delight. Quiet, reserved, conservative, gentle. The Niece, on the other hand is a very sweet, singing, babbling, dancing, wriggling 5 year old. She is SO noisy. May I suggest earplugs? Have fun!
