My daughter doesn’t want me to blog
Well crap. I got started on the whole big recap story and then The Girl decided to start fussing and crying. I’ve had to go in her room four times in the past hour, so tonight’s not looking so good for long-form writing either. Besides, I’m not really in the mood to be witty or entertaining tonight anyway.
At least I got a decent start on it tonight and should be able to wrap it all up tomorrow. Unless the house explodes or something. That could happen, it’s been that kind of week so far.
Hmm, I suppose that September is over (how did that happen?), so the monthly photo gallery is now complete.
Fries at the bottom of the bag
- My birthday is rapidly approaching and The Wife hasn’t been asking me what I want. That gives me a pretty good idea of what to expect, but I’ve started a running wish list just in case something unexpected happens.
- The Wife used her freakish superhuman strength to break the hot water knob on her bathroom sink. We were already thinking about redoing the bathroom, so I imagine it’ll remain unfixed until we decide what we want all the walls/counters/fixtures to look like. You know, like never.
- We went shoe shopping the other day. I made the mistake of wandering around the store and when I returned, The Wife had allowed The Boy to pick out a pair of shoes that can only be described as “bitchin’ “.
- The Boy’s obsession with golf is now showing up in his school work. It may be time for an intervention soon. At least he’s getting outside.
- The Wife has become concerned that The Girl has some sort of weird two-in-one Siamese tooth coming in. I haven’t really gotten a good look at it myself.
- The Girl has become quite the pro at standing for extended periods and walking very deliberately across short distances:
You really need to take a look at that tooth. I swear, something about it just isn’t right.
