SXSW: Day Five
Ah, all good things must come to an end I suppose. And so today was the fifth and final day of SXSW Interactive.
In some ways, I wish it could have gone on for another week. The sheer amount of “cool stuff” that I was able to take in from the various presentations and panels was amazing. Plus, I got to meet quite a few interesting and neat-o people as well. But it’s always good to be back home.
Today’s weather was absolutely perfect – the only day when it wasn’t too cold, too windy or too wet to be comfortable walking around outside. Oh well, better late than never I suppose.
The highlights of today’s sessions included the Content Management System Roundup and the “Can an .edu act like a .com?” discussion roundtable. I won’t bore you with the details (mostly because I’m very tired), but I found them both to be pretty interesting. It’s always good to know that my colleagues are facing the same issues and challenges that I run into from time to time.
Upon returning home, it looks like everyone is doing well. The Girl has a bit of congestion going on, but it doesn’t appear to be too bad. The Wife reports that The Boy went out of his way to be helpful while I was gone, which I knew that he would. And The Dog had to lay with her head on my lap for the first two hours that I was home. So things are about where I left them.
